I live with my husband, Keith and 3.5yr old son in Perthshire, Scotland where there are plenty of opportunities to get out and experience the outdoors. We love spending time together as a family canoeing, mountain walking and wild camping, exploring mountains, lochs, waterfalls as well as getting away in our rust bucket of a campervan, Ivy Coco.
I was introduced to mountain walking and outdoor fun by Keith soon after we started dating. Keith took me to the Lake District and a jaunt up the Old Man of Coniston where we soon found out I was a fan, but just not of the uphill parts which has made the last 15 years worth of adventure interesting!
We’ve travelled the world, and have trekked in some of the most beautiful and isolated areas, with our favourites being in Patagonia including the Dientes de Navarino circuit in Tierra del Fuego and the Torres del Paine circuit.
Now we have our son, we’re determined to carry on getting out there and share with him the wonders of the outdoors and hopefully have a little fun along the way. We share our outdoor experiences on our blog, An Outdoors Family and are looking forward to swapping campfire stories round The Campsite Blog!
